The totally refurbished building, a listed building in the Community of Madrid, offers 103 exclusive rooms decorated with motifs related to the world of art and literature. The hotel features an exquisite combination of the building’s original glazed tiles, canopies and stone carvings coupled with the latest in interior design. The building is crowned by a terrace offering a unique view across the rooftops of Madrid. The De Las Letras H&R hotel has 103 rooms on six floors. The use of light and colour are two elements which are common to all of them. All of the large rooms have high ceilings and wide windows which let in plenty of natural light. The walls of the rooms are painted in original colours (ochre, burgundy, orange…) which are different on each floor of the building. Another of the emblematic characteristics of the hotel are the inscriptions on the walls of quotes from literature by famous writers and poets. The beds are decorated with large, comfortable cushions. This combination of elements provides the client with thematic decoration in a warm, cosy, intimate environment.
